OPF104: Group Facilitation

Total Hours: 16 (8 hours Self-Study, 8 hours Live Online Classroom)

This course focuses on the skills and requirements for facilitating group sessions. You’ll learn how to assess client compatibility, create supportive group environments, and manage group dynamics effectively. The course also covers regulatory requirements for group facilitation.


Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, you should be able to:

  1. Assess a client’s compatibility with group formats.
  2. Create effective set and setting environments for group facilitation.
  3. Facilitate group communication and dynamics, including collaboration with multiple facilitators.
  4. Develop and enforce group agreements related to confidentiality and safety.
  5. Recognize when clients need individual support or additional interventions.
  6. Conduct group preparation and integration sessions.
  7. Understand the regulatory requirements for group facilitation.
